The Digital Manufacturing Centre (DMC), an industry-leading production facility and additive manufacturing (AM) innovation hub, hosted the latest UK MOD Strategic Command’s Additive Manufacturing innovation event, on 5 March 2025. This MOD/industry collaborative event was held at DMC’s state-of-the-art AM production facility, located at the world-renowned Silverstone Park. A Drone Test and Development Centre (DTDC), launched in 2023 at Westcott Venture Park in Buckinghamshire by partner organisation Satellite Applications Catapult, is undergoing a major upgrade to its facilities to increase its capacity and capabilities.  Drone companies will now be able to test their products and solutions at a much earlier stage in the development process in a safe and controlled environment.  The DTDC received £1.4million in funding from Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), now managed by the Buckinghamshire Growth Board following the transition of the LEP into Buckinghamshire Council last year.  The DTDC is upgrading to service [...]

Diva Patang, one of Afghanistan’s leading businesswomen in Europe, is to dramatically increase the size of her e-commerce business Diva Group’s presence at Silverstone. Diva Group is in the process of moving from its 33,000 sq ft premises to newer 100,000 sq ft industrial accommodation at the innovation and technology campus on the Bucks-Northants border. Employee numbers are set to double to around 200 as a result of the move. Construction is underway at Westcott Venture Park on a cutting-edge £16m flagship project at the 650-acre business park located between Aylesbury and Bicester. The scheme, extending over 65,455 sq ft, will offer a range of state-of-the-art facilities for space research, advanced manufacturing and testing, shared workspaces as well as modern office units, a conference centre and a café.
